The next morning, he woke up alone under a heavy, rich blanket. Even though he was on the floor of the garden pagoda, he had slept comfortably, and as he sat up he realized that was probably due to the silk pillows he had been lying on. The soft sunlight cast leaf shadows across his face and the wind made gentle ripples in the moss colored lake in front of him. The Imperial Garden was just as beautiful in the day as it was by night. On one side of him lay a small table with a small pot of tea, a bowl of rice porridge and tea stained eggs. “Breakfast,” he thought to herself, but before he reached for it he saw that a yellow brocade traveling bag lay on the other side of him. Inside the bag, he found his humble blanket, rabbit rice bowl (with needle and bamboo piece), chopsticks, a generous supply of cakes, and his hollow gourd full of fresh water. On the very top lay the gold threaded pouch that held the ripped page of fortune. He took the pouch and held it with two hands. “Well I have the Northern Lights” he thought “At least I hope it is”. Akuba is giving the north and the lights. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can deliver stars and hopes and the whole of the Moon. Orkidz and Purpura watching millions of fireflies flying from Northern skies to the lights of Europe.
